Ellora's Cavemen: Seasons of Seduction I came out the same day (Wednesday) as I got gruesomely sick. The problem was I couldn't just go to bed, I had revisions of a book due today, so I had to soldier through. I dosed myself with cough drops, advil, mentholatum, water, and tea, and carried on. I feel better today, though far from 100%.
I traveled all last week, which is very likely why I got sick. I usually don't get sick until I have a tiring traveling shedule, plus I was already run down a bit. My workload for the past year has been hideous.
But--the upside was I got to see people I hadn't in a while and get out of my routine. I do love to travel, despite the joy of waiting in airports. I went to New Mexico with Cheyenne McCray and we had lunch with Patrice Michele, EC author who's also sold to Harlequin Nocturne. She's such a sweetie! We didn't go all the way there just to lunch, of course, we were on a panel at a library conference talking about trends in romance fiction. Barbara Samuel was also on the panel--I love her historical romances.
Then I went to California to see old friends and record a CD. I'm glad the cold happened this week, LOL! But I was in good voice and my flute playing didn't suck, so I got through it.
I'm going to actually take the weekend off (except for reading page proofs of course), and try to catch up with the rest of my life.
Enjoy "Club Vamp" in Seasons of Seduction! It's hot. Adam is just...yummy.
